Race morning control

New York City Marathon start time should be more useful than a table row.

RaceZip turns organizer wave, transport, baggage, corral and Start Village rules into a race-morning board. Tap your wave—no bib lookup and no personal data required.

NYC Start Village / Wave Navigator

NYC start morning is more than a wave time: corral opening, corral closing, start color, transportation and start-bag rules all matter. Tap your wave to turn the organizer facts into one timeline.

Wave / color / corral come from your bib

NYRR uses five waves, three start colors (Blue / Orange / Pink) and six corrals per wave; assignments cannot be moved earlier.

Transport

Use your selected official transportation

Your transport assignment remains governed by the NYRR dashboard/current guide; RaceZip does not infer a departure from a normal MTA timetable.

Hard deadline

Private vehicles must beat the 07:00 road/bridge restriction

NYRR strongly recommends official transportation. Private drop-off is outside Fort Wadsworth, followed by roughly a half-mile walk, with road closures making this option fragile.

Bag / gear

No bag check at the start for finish transport

NYRR explicitly says there is no start-area bag check that transports a bag to the finish; pre-race bag-check selection follows the organizer process.

Fort Wadsworth is runner/guide-only

Family should not plan to accompany you into the Start Villages; spectators need to begin elsewhere on the course.

Boundary: Start times can change and transportation can be affected by MTA/road operations. Re-check the NYRR app and organizer pages the night before and on race morning.

Morning rule

Protect the next action you cannot afford to miss.

01

Choose the wave first

The start time is the final step; first protect the corral or bus-loading window.

02

Separate baggage from transportation

Large point-to-point races often do not let a normal bag travel from the start to the finish.

03

Re-check the organizer app on race day

Road, MTA/MBTA, bus and start-time operations can change. RaceZip planning is not live operational control.
